February Update

Now that the website is finally up I suppose it is time to give our fans (all 4 of them) an update on what has been going on with the band these past few months. After our last show in April 2010 we decided that it was time to begin working on our first full length album which has yet to be named. The album will consist of all the new songs that we have written in the past year and a half, as well as a few that we have written since our last show that no one has heard yet. A rerecorded Ascension will also be featured on the album because we feel it is a good representation of our current sound and fits well with the theme and feel of the album. Listen carefully though as it might sound a little different from the version that you are all familiar with.

We began the recording process by first finishing up the writing of a few songs that would round out the album. We then recorded a pre-production cut and after some minor tweaking we were ready to begin. Eoghan McCloskey (Ciaran's brother and former drummer for the band) was brought in to handle sound engineering duties this time around and we began the official drum tracking at the very end of the summer. Progress on the album was slow during the fall due to busy schedules but we were able to wrap up all of the guitar and bass tracking before the end of the year.

Currently we are preparing to enter the studio with Michael Day who will be returning to engineer the vocals. Once recording is finished, we will need to mix and master the album, and then it should be ready for release. After the release of the album we will be returning to the stage for some long overdue live performances.
